1: [Jun 8 1998] Swim! (Amph)
The latest hex change will prevent a lot of pointless deaths. Damn cool!

2: [Jun 9 1998] Swimming (Ramik)
I'm just agreeing with Amph's note, but this is such a great change, I thought it deserved several kudos. Many thanks to Celetar (or whoever did this good thing).

---Ramik, who is just drying out from his last death.

3: [Jun 12 1998] Swimming! (Daring)
I was saved by the changed today! Thanks!
Daring, who has one amulet more than he might have.

4: [Jun 16 1998] Bob! (Toadie)
For the first time, I spent some quality time with Bob today. Whoever
coded him did a great job! I'm especially fond of his lament that "I was
a big man in eristan. I even had a HUGE jewel. I lost it in the tunnels
beneath the city. In the end, I blame society."

One more example, with such Luminaries as Gashta, Lonozat and Virgil, of
NPCs that, for no particularly important reason, are coded so well that they
really add to the game.

Thanks again,

Toadie the NPC taunters

5: [Jun 30 1998] Orcs (Raven)
This orc thing looks like it's going to be cool.

Good job, whoever's running it.

6: [Jul 7 1998] Underdark improvements (Daring)
Excellent!
Daring, the cave dweller

7: [Aug 4 1998] Tyca (Ral)
Congrats on making a cool packer, Slinky.
Tyca the elf is pretty fun, and a good opponent
for mid-level warriors.

8: [Aug 7 1998] l#common (Raven)
Thanks for responding to the popular demand
to have newbies speak decent l#common - I
think it has been rewarded with a good crop
of new players in recent weeks.

9: [Aug 10 1998] Entering Town (Aroth)
I really like the way that if you enter from the east into town
you end up by thad and if you enter from west you end up
at outskirts. I know it has probably been implemented a while but
I just thought I'd give it props.:) Don't know about any others
but when I wanna go to Tobermore I take the East exit:)

10: [Sep 23 1998] Hilarious! (Radu)
Being a dwarf, I've been exploring the tunnels beneath the city,
which are much like the ones my family lived in while I was young.
Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon a brown narcoleptic
hamster!
Maybe I'm the only one that finds that completely hilarious,
but it had me rolling for a good few minutes.
Glad to see there's a sense of humor involved here.
If I keep seeing things like that, I'll be sticking around here
for a long, long time.

Radu the dwarven spelunker.

11: [Sep 28 1998] Mandy (Alsatia)
Thanks a bunch to whoever fixed Mandy up to buy more than a farthings
worth of food. Good to see her with a full menu with such a huge
variety of food.

12: [Oct 5 1998] Lighthouse (Spiffy)
I need it! I love it! I want some more of it! heh
Rad! I am going to be so covered in tattoos you wont be able to recognise
me! congrats to Raven on the cool place..
Spifster

13: [Oct 12 1998] Who (Stupor)
Cheers to the new Who, which doesn't make newbies think this place
is a vaccuum.

14: [Nov 1 1998] plant (Helmsbane)
congrats to whoever fixed "plant" so quickly
i just posted that report less than a week ago

15: [Nov 10 1998] Fountain ... (Pixel)

If it's true that the fountain now resets independantly of
reboots, I can only say : Well done !

Pixel

16: [Nov 20 1998] FOOD! (Alsatia)
THANKS TO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE WHO MADE MORE FOOD TO COOK UP!!!
AND YES I KNOW I'M TYPING IN ALL CAPS..I'M SCREAMING CAUSE I'M
SO EXCITED!!! HEH.

-Alsatia who plays Alsatia "hehe"

17: [Dec 11 1998] Board cleaning. (Gered)
Thank you to whoever cleaned the OOC boards of the hundreds of ancient posts. It's a lot less painful to read them now. :)

Gered

18: [Dec 17 1998] re:orcs (Lothos)
back in june Raven said 'this orc thing looks like it's going to be cool.'
I agree, this rocks. I know alot of people will disagree but c'mon this is fun, people dyin', others hiding, this is what it is all about folks. Fun!
So who ever coded this, I'd like to say GREAT JOB!

Lothos

19: [Dec 18 1998] Orcs. (Euros)
Yeah, I had a lot of fun too, the people who ran the quest, do you have
any logs? I would have loved to make on, cept the term I'm on doesn't seem
to support that.

Euros

20: [Jan 20 1999] Weights! (Daring)
Thanks for letting us elven mages carry more than 20 chunks
of coal now :)

21: [Jan 25 1999] Torcas and Lulpox - The new breed of npc's (Qualinst)
Wonderful job on these 2 npc's. Thanks for finally helping the older players some.

Qualinst

22: [Feb 09 1999] boards (Inami)
it's wonderful that all of the boards are not only less spammy,
but also show which posts to pay attention to. great job!

-inami

23: [Feb 20 1999] Work well Done (Raesh)
It seems we have a super-active creator who has done a wonderful job of not
only bug fixes, but new creations, ideas and implementations as well.
Thanks Raven, the players of Dartmud appreciate your efforts.

Raesh

24: [Feb 26 1999] Another round of applause (Raesh)
Well it seems like we owe some praise to Arryn as well. A detailed set of
descriptions is something that has been lacking from here for quite awhile.
Thanks for taking the time to make your area more enjoyable for all.

Raesh

25: [Feb 28 1999] Praise.. n stuff (Spiffy)
I would like to say good job to Arryn and Raven both for the stuff they have done so far.
Good job on the Area and the Boats..
Spiffy

26: [Mar 01 1999] re: rowboats (Ral)
Congratulations on creating a fun way to spend time!
Sailing around the ocean has given me something to do lately,
not to mention some peace and quiet. Can't wait until tentacled
horrors from the deep rip us from our boats and try to eat us
alive!
One of the first times I was in a rowboat, Qualinst was rowing
around Tobermore and I was just pretty much watching.
Suddenly, the boat started filling with water! Numerous "Acks!"
flew back and forth, and as a joke I remove my bascinet and
tried to bail water. To my surprise it was a command!
That had me rolling in my chair!
Nice work!

Ral the swarthy sailor

27: [Mar 02 1999] Well Done!! (Bond)
Would really like to thank whoever been putting much effort
in changing buggy codes and adding new quest around here

Well Done and Thanks for bringing back the fun here again!!

**ps. whoever did the new quest this reboot
I'm gonna beat u to it on the next, hehehe

-P

He who plays Bond...

28: [Mar 03 1999] Ral.. (Spiffy)
Me thinks Ral reads too much H.P. Lovecraft..

Whoever heard of a tentacled horror.. hell, lets just get Raven to code Cthulhu
himself.. maybe add a few deep ones? Hows that sound Ral? ;)
Spiffy

29: [Mar 04 1999] re: H.P. Lovecraft. (Ral)
All I've gotta say is, ask some of my sailing students how close
they came to dying from a heart attack when they saw me emote
"Ral lets loose a strangled cry and is pulled overboard", or
Ral is pulled overboard by a writhing tentacle!
Ok, I was bored and like messing around...but anything to increase
your heart rate around here is fun. If that takes some nasty
tentacled horror from the depths of the ocean preying on sailors,
then that is A-okay with me.
It would give me something to do while sailing, even if that means
dying. ;)

Captain Ral

30: [Mar 07 1999] Re: Tentacle (Nimbus)
Seeing how I can never find the boat (because someone moved it!
or SUNK IT!)... well seeing nasty creature in the water just doesn't
sound too wonderful. However, I agree, Ral's messages are
funny.. wouldn't be if the monster were real. I'd love to see some
sort of sea monster, pirates, or other sea-event. Especially would
like some deep-sea fishing.

This isn't the complaint board or the idea board so my grats go out to
the creator of armor bins, the plethora of things Raven has
accomplished, and if someone gets lumbering and wood crafts
I'll be posting again!

-Nimbus

31: [Mar 09 1999] picking up one more stackable thing! (Gus)
Gus kisses you, then wipes off its beard.
thankyou for fixing that picking-up-one-more-chunk-of-ore
concentration problem! yay!

32: [Apr 08 1999] Quests (Eddard)
It's great to see new quests in production, and I'd like to give a hearty thanks to everyone responsible.

Eddard

33: [Apr 09 1999] Sea Monsters! (Ral)
All I gotta say is, ask and you shall receive (sometimes).
I finally got to let loose a strangled cry and be attacked
at sea by writhing tentacles! Does life get any better!?

Captain Ral

34: [Apr 11 1999] Re: Sea Monsters (Spiffy)
make that Cap'n Ral

35: [Apr 19 1999] To ya'll (Tsnilauq)
I'd just like to say great job to all active and productive creators!!
It's great to have new quests to do, and the things that have been done with
items stacking, (by that I mean all the "stacking" bugs/features with pilfer,
packs, and taking stacks). Also, in case noone noticed...great job with the
lag-busting!! HIP HIP HORRAY!! 5 months ago this place lagged for 5 minutes
at the ever popular "top of the hour". A week or two ago, it was laggin'
pretty bad too...I heard many people complain and bitch, but never heard anyone
say "Hmmm..It was like this not too long ago, and I think they fixed it!"

Great job on all of it guys n gals. Thanks.

Qualinst (backwards is just too damn hard to type)

36: [Apr 20 1999] I agree (Deth)
I agree I have found new reasons to enjoy this world. I had stopped due to the lack of things to do(odd huh)
But now it is like I am confused and overwelmed with things I can do.
Thanks for create some fun for one of the little people.
Deth
Aka a buntch of other names

37: [Apr 27 1999] Woo (Slinky)
It's always nice to get praise from the players.
Even if it's not directed at me. *sniff sniff* jk
If you have an idea, send me a mail, I'll read it
I'll forward it to someone that can work on it, or
discuss it with someone, if I can't do it.

Bye,
Slinky

38: [Apr 28 1999] Jousting! (Talahaski)
I would just like the thanks all the creators involoved in
these additions. I've been noticing a lot of changes, all
of which I love. Especially the Jousting tents. They
are great. It really allows us fighters to have a little fun
with our skills instead of the usually, sitting around sparring with NPC's!
well, thanks for the new changes, keep up the good work
Talahaski

39: [May 07 1999] Woowoo (Spiffy)
I would just like to say to everyone who worked on it..
Awesom job with the colors folks. DM really needed it!
Spiffy

40: [May 07 1999] re: Woowoo (Nimue)
I also would like to add my praise for the new colors, both in descriptions of things and in the hexes. Very nice.

Nimue

41: [May 08 1999] Thank... (Patrick)
I am really glad to see so many active coders around these days.
There was a time when I thought this place is going to be abandon
but apparently it does not seem so now. Lots of new things being
added by the coders and things are again becoming interesting.
Thanks to all those coders out there... really... thanks man.

Rdgs
Patrick
P.S. Now I am addicted to here again. :)

42: [May 13 1999] Thanks! (Vespiel)
This game is great, and for all those who contributed to making it,
a great thanks! I love all those unique systems, the originality of
so many things, the hexes and the economy above all :)

Oh, and the colors on the hexes are an excellent addition. Not only
does it make travelling outside more interesting, but it also makes
it a bit easier and a bit safer (you'll see those trecherous hexes
easier now :P).

Thanks!

Vespiel

43: [May 15 1999] Great Job with everything!!!! (Caterus)
Hello all
as most of you all know i was gone for about a month
But when i came back i thought i somehow went into the wrong game
So in other words Great Job on all you have done you really had me thinking i was in the wrong game
So far everything i have seen i like
Keep it up!!!
**Caterus**

44: [May 28 1999] Many things to appreciate (Kazarak)
Howdy!

Just wanted to let all the coders know I really appreciate everything that
has been done lately. I bitch more than not, and I need to point out the good
things. I, like Patrick, thought this place was going to be abandonded some time
ago but instead I have been seeing more positive changes in the past several
months than the previous 4 to 5 years combined. Colored hexes and aura, labeled chests
that aren't buggy, entire new areas that I never dreamed of, and lots and lots of
little crap that I'm sure is boring to look for and fix, but makes the game run and
feel so much better. There are all kinds of things I haven't even seen yet, and thats
great! Thanks again!

Kazarak

45: [May 29 1999] Thanks to Raven!! (Ramik)
Just a quick note to say that Raven, for all his gruffness and random, violent, limb explosion, has got to be the single most helpful creator I've ever delt with. Today, when I told him of a bug with my save-chest, not only did he NOT blow me off (or up), he arrived and fixed the bug within 10 minutes.
I very much appreciate creators like that (and there _are_ others) who are willing to put a couple of minutes into really helping a player out.
Thanks,
---Ramik

46: [May 31 1999] Thanks to the Creators (Caterus)
I dont know if i should post it but this is an ooc board
Thank you for taking care of Connor and Dodie
I know you must have gave it much thought and glade you did what you had to
Thanks agen to all

47: [Jun 01 1999] Connor and Dodie, etc. (Raven)

We deleted Connor and Dodie not because of the
pkilling. We like pkilling. They got deleted
primarily because Connor lied through his teeth
to me when I asked him about how many characters
he had registered under different names. Turns
out he's been doing this same stuff for years.
At last count, he's had twenty-one different names
from a wide variety of hotmail, aol, and other
accounts, and apparently he lied about it just
about every time he got caught, so eventually the
creators in charge at the time decided he should
just be deleted with extreme prejudice every time
we catch him, although personally, I might have
let him live if he hadn't been such a pathetic liar.

I think he's back, but I can't prove it yet. We
shall see.

48: [Jun 02 1999] Good job (Karanda)
You guys are doing an awesome job.
The new town is a nice spice in life
Even tho it is a bitch to get to by rowboat ;)
Keep up the good work guys ;) ;)
P.S. No people I'm not Connor!

49: [Jun 03 1999] Special thanks to the coders (Varaal)
I want to thank to tha creators who adjusted the chousing new char system so the stats can't be rolled . They could have banned me or interdict me to roll my stats but instad they have chousen to work hard and change the code ...
You guys have all my admiration and respect , and i want to thank you again couz you are doing a great thing for role-playing !

Vaaral , the completely absolute newbi.

50: [Jun 06 1999] OOC area change. (Ramik)
I LOVE the automatic notification of new notes in the OOC area. It means less time wandering aimlessly. Thanks to whoever's responsible.
---Ramik

51: [Jun 09 1999] MY Resurection (Pock)
\This is a Thank you to Raven, for delaying the reboot on jun 9 so that i could be resurected.

I am very greateful, and I would like to make it known that I appreciate it.

The Player of Pock, The now skillless :)

52: [Jun 25 1999] Influenza (Hrothgar)
I just want to say that whoever created the Influenza
bug, Well Done. It's added a nice change of pace for the
game. It's added some nice oppertunities for role playing,
and character development. Great job.

-Hrothgar the sick

53: [Jun 25 1999] Thanks Goodness (Twophry)
As a skilled candlemaker who has been making
hundreds of candles at a time, I really appreciate the
fact that candles are now stackable. why, prior to this
I would fill 2 scrolls of my screen with candles, now they all
stack in a nice neat pile!

54: [Jul 15 1999] Raids (Krista)
Thanks to whoever was responsible for the raids. I enjoyed them. Also thanks to my fellow adventurers, whom I wouldn't have survived them without.

55: [Jul 17 1999] Dismas (Kye)
If Dismas isn't the coolest wiz I ever met someone slap me silly.

That's all, Kye

56: [Jul 18 1999] Role Playing (Artag)
I just wanted to post a note and say how amazingly
wonderful I think dartmud is. Dartmud's role-playing
focused mission is only very loosely followed, but
the mere presence of it makes the most important
moments on the mud the most fun.

Artag died for good today. ~9000 skill points, at
least 3 times better than any other character I've
ever played down the drain. And you know what?
This was my second most enjoyable night of playing
Dartmud. Because I like Artag, and I was emotionally
involved in his death. And being able to share in
an experience like his death without actually having to
have it is the best thing a fantasy game can do.

Sure it sucks to lose him. And, as you'll see on
other boards, I don't really know that I think I
should have lost him. But it's a game, and it's
the playing that's important. And Dartmud gave me
a wonderfully fun environment to play in.

So all those of you who don't role-play, or bend
the rules here and there - you're only really
hurting yourself. Try it the right way, and you
might find that it's much more rewarding. Artag
wasn't always role-played well, but I guarantee
that my next character, who you hopefully won't
be able to associate with Artag, will be.

Thanks all. And special thanks to Fermat, Feanor,
Darkstar, and the other original architects (are any
of them still around?)

Artag the dwarf.

57: [Jul 18 1999] Ogma (Artag)
Ogma was very helpful to me during my death experience today,
and I wanted to thank him.

Well, actually, he wasn't *very* helpful. It he'd been very
helpful I'd be alive. But he was exactly as helpful as he
should have been, which is much better than him being very
helpful.

Thank you Ogma. Keep up the good work.

Artag

58: [Jul 21 1999] Desla and Celetar (Panayiot) (Redas)
A load of thanks to Desla and Celetar who took the time to help me out yesterday when I was so confused about how a woman's screaming killed me.

Panayiot the 2000 year old catfolk

59: [Jul 22 1999] A big thanks to Desla for helping repair the Bank (Bigfoot)
Thanks for working on the bank and doing what you could to restore
lost accounts, even though I did lose some money which
was made between those 10 days, I am very gratefull to have
any account with Gordon.

60: [Jul 22 1999] Thank you Desla ;) ;) (Karanda)
Thank you for taking the time to figure out the bank.
I would rather lose 10 days
of money then my whole life savings ;) ;)
Hats off to you friend ;)

61: [Jul 28 1999] whoa! what mud is this? ^_^ (Helmsbane)
hello... are you sure this is still dartmud?
i've been gone since november (yeesh!) and the place has taken on
a completely different look... there's so much new stuff...
things are definitely looking up!

back to catching up on the ooc boards ;_;

-helmsbane

62: [Jul 29 1999] Raven (Karanda)
Thank you Raven for coding a whistle
for our animal training. Might just be alittle gadget
but it saves alot of time waiting for our voices to return
What to say thanks also for the fast reply ;)
Hats off to all you coders ;)
Karanda

63: [Aug 06 1999] Syco (Cloud)
Would like to say... Great job to whoever coded Syco the ogre!
For once I was wondering if he is a player but fingering Syco
told me otherwise. Nicely done!

Rdgs

64: [Aug 09 1999] NPC's (Aveius)
Hellos

The last few Npc's I have seen, and talk with have been great
Whoever made Tialle did a great job
it gets borring in HH when you are by your self
But she came by and had lots of things to say
Hope she Is Perm in the game
Once again Good job to all the Creators
and Thanks!!
**Aveius**

65: [Aug 13 1999] Alignment (Eddard)
The alignment change fighting brings on is great. Just wanted to show my appreciation after complaining about it for all that time.

Player of Eddard

66: [Aug 13 1999] Nails. (Euros)
A pile of:
120 nails.

Each one is:
A tiny spear with a flat head.

(Or something to that effect). Whatever it is, I like it! I know
a carrot is a carrot, so praise to whoever did that.

67: [Aug 15 1999] Many Thanks! (Nimue)
To Desla and Raven for saving me from a rather nasty bug -- I just wanted to say thanks for not only fixing it, but for responding so darn quickly to my (frantic?) tell. You guys rock. :)

Nimue

68: [Aug 15 1999] Aliases (Kimar)
Thanks to whoever took the time so that we may see our aliases by starting letter. Save a LOT of hassle for those of us that have way too many aliases anyway.

Kudos to you all!

Kimar

69: [Aug 15 1999] Cheers! (Vespiel)

"Some days, I wonder why I try."

Desla, Jul 23 1999

Well, I am certainly glad you and other creators do. I don't play muds.
This is the only one I do. But I can't tear myself away (not that I try :P).
So, in my tri-monthly tradition of posting on this board (so it seems)
let me just make an overall cheers to all the creators. This world is simpy
fantastic. And how many of us forget that! I took a stroll down the
countryside the other day, and every time I do travel, I get reminded
of what we have here. Not only are there cities, great geography, sailable
oceans, different lakes, mines, farm-clusters, traveling merchants and
a variety of other things, but the world is so full of things... caves,
openings under trees, little gaps that turn out to be large tunnels, temples
and many other features. I can't even imagine the days of coding that must
have gone into this place. And how often do we forget that! We, players,
have a tendency of complaining and nitpicking about details, but if one
takes a look at what's here, those problems seem petty. We have a complete
fantasy world here, risen to life, with features and details from here to the
moon! I dare you to find something remotely similar out there. Sorry for
the spam, but I get amazed here on regular basis every now and then :)

Finally, individual thanks to Raven, for being both professional and helpful
during my recent death experience. I had what I needed in front of me, but
the trauma of my death seemed to hit IRL too :)

Also, Larry's consignment shop, while nothing new, often makes the world
go round. It certainly raises the economy.

71: [Aug 27 1999] NPCs (Vespiel)
Heh, whoever coded Ap and Firien... big kudos! I hope they are permanent NPCs.
They are hillarious together! :) And lately, I find it more amusing to
listen to NPCs at times, than practicing skills :) Sometimes, you have
to finger them, just to ensure they are not PCs. Take a look at this:

Firien shuffles in from the south.
Firien yawns.
Ap exclaims in common, 'I know, it's so boring around here these days!'
Firien nods.
Ap smiles happily at you.
Firien asks, 'What're you so happy about?'
Ap says in common, 'I really like that catfolk. She's sweet.'
Firien smirks.

Well, other than getting my sex wrong, they freaked me out for a second :)
They ARE coded NPCs, though. I am sure of that! :) Er... aren't they...?

72: [Sep 01 1999] Raven (Nimbus)
Thank you for errecting a board in a place not too far away.

Also thank you to all the people who worked on bins, racks, and any
other containers that have effectively reduced lag. Thank you to Arryn
for he's done and will do, and why don't you come out and take a few bows
now and then? :-) Thank you to Ogma for lots of things - clothing,
sheep, Gilmore, and everything else that I can't remember. Thank you to
Celetar, Slinky, Cobra, Desla, and Teehmar.. nice bunch of folks. There
are many more who have contributed to what we now have. In any
event, I know I don't use this board often and I thought it high time I
rectify that.

73: [Sep 04 1999] Thanks Raven (Caterus)
I would just like to say Thank you Raven, for spending time Fixing my 3 pets
Thanks alot and Keep Up the Good work!
**Player of Caterus**

74: [Sep 04 1999] Pets Fixed (Raven)
Everybody should have their pets fixed, population
control and all that...

75: [Sep 04 1999] re: Pets Fixed (Selena)
You sound a lot like Bob Barker at the end of every "The Price is Right",
Raven. :)

76: [Oct 01 1999] Capitalization (Selena)
Whoever coded the automatic capitalization of the first letter of each
sentence, thank you from the bottom of my lazy-typer heart. :)

Selena

77: [Oct 03 1999] re: capitalization (Zephyr)
Ditto
Zephyr

78: [Oct 04 1999] Re : Capitalization (Pixel)

Even better though, was coding it so putting a space
before the first word would stop it being capitalized.
Summoned animals are very literal about their
command word :)

Pixel

79: [Oct 07 1999] Ubahli fixed (Nezahru)
Thank you Raven. I rebutted that post you referred to anyways.

80: [Oct 13 1999] Ubahli (Nimbus)
I'd like to second the sentiment of thanks for the return of Ubahli.
He has been gone a long time.

Thank you!

81: [Oct 14 1999] Using my smell and hearing (Vasquez)
Just a bit ago I was lost in the hexes in the dark. I couldn't see a thing
Yet My sense of smell and hearing saved me.
I was able to hear the water of the river and make my way back to town.
Thanks to whatever creator coded this. Now I can also find my
way around town at night, being able to smell the insence of the healer.
Thanks
Vasquez

82: [Oct 15 1999] Senses (Vespiel)
Yes, the senses code is trully memorable. It adds to races, especially
those who rely on one form of sense or more. It helps in scouting
as well as it opens a whole new world of sensations. Thanks!

Vespiel

83: [Oct 17 1999] Kimonos (Vespiel)
"Ask and ye shall receive". I forget who said that. Probably some divine
presence. But it works on DartMUD too. Kimonos are coded, and merely

Many thanks to whoever coded the crafting message:

For without that ever-so-subtle exclamation mark giving me a tiny feeling

99: [Dec 18 1999] reading these boards (Amenhotep)
I just noticed something pretty nifty and wanted to praise whomever is
responsible. When I came into this area and saw how many boards I hadnt
read I thought that was cool, but then when I saw how many notes i hadnt
read on each board I thought I'd either have to read all the notes or
condemned to having the same message on entering this areaODODODODODODOD message upon entering always tell me I have unread boards, but
after reading just a couple of the most recent notes and then walking
past the entrance I noticed that the boards that I read some notes on
were no longer unread. Possibly, I might be the only person who thinks
this is worth praising, but regardless, I just wanted to say I noticed
and appreciated the feature.

100: [Dec 27 1999] Stuff (Vespiel)
So many things and improves have been added to DartMUD lately. I left
for a bit, and when I came back, I could hardly recognize the game :)
I personally enjoy the additions, including the new farming crops,
the lumbering and fishing changes. And how about that board of chess!?
I was amazed to see chess not only craftable but fully coded.

Finally, to whoever made the Christmas additions, many thanks. These things
really add to the spirit of things... at least for me :) My favorite was
Carol the Singing Lady, who sang the entire 'The Twelve Days of Christmas'...
but DartMUD style :)

Thanks!

101: [Dec 31 1999] Yay for Raven! (Ramik)
Raven deserves a huge thank you from each and every fighter on this MUD for his recent restoration of SD to pre-nerfing levels. It's really nice to see that a creator listens to our gripes and arguments once in a while. Although I still wouldn't say that warriors are "up to par" with mages just yet, this is a strong and much-needed first step. I really appreciate it, Raven.

Thanks to whoever was behind the gold and silver cloth. Wanted to see that
for a long time now.

player of Bralvokia

PS- Could 'cloth of gold cloth' desc maybe be changed? 'cloth of gold' or 'gold
cloth' would be nice. Would be even better if the fabric type showed, too.

104: [Jan 12 2000] Cloth of Gold and Cloth of Silver (Ogma)
Firstly, I know that 'cloth of gold cloth' sounds kind of clunky,
but it has to be this way to show up correctly when someone crafts an
item of clothing from it. 'Cloth of gold' is the proper medieval term
for it, and clothing would be described as a 'cloth of gold cloak'
or some such thing. If it was called gold cloth, clothing would say 'a gold cloak' which just doesn't sound
right to me.
Secondly, the way cloth of gold is made, the fiber it uses doesn't show
much at all. Gold leaf is wrapped around thread then woven in a satin weave
(the weft going over several warp threads, then under one), making a smooth gold cloth. Just think of it as the medieval equivalent of gold lame' :)

122: [Apr 03 2000] Re: Ambush fix (Raven)
Yeah, great. One more nerfed skill. Glad you're happy.

123: [Apr 04 2000] re: Re: Ambush fix (Eddard)
Would also like to say thanks for removing this unintended method of permakilling. And Raven, this "nerf" simply removed a highly abusive aspect of ambush which, in my opinion, was highly unbalancing to this game. If that upsets you, I don't know what to say.

Eddard the orc

124: [Apr 04 2000] ambush (Asp)
The conc hit was unbalancing, but now that it has been removed why not put ambush back to it's original way. Or at least allow it to cause more damage at higher levels. Gfb and offensive does more damage at higher levels why not ambush. Whats the point in having 2500 checks in ambush when you do the same damage as someone with 1200?

Asp

125: [Apr 05 2000] asps points (Serafin)
i agree with asp though i gasp at the idea of 2500 checks, i think
and ive always said this that if a player is willing to put in the
time to work on any skill then the rewards shouldnt just level off
they should keep rising, if anything learning should just get slower
and slower in addition to needing a bigger challenge.

though i wouldnt want to see this abused by people with a million
darkstaves, i think theres prolly a way to do a real check and make
it so anyone who was insane enough to get 2500 plusses is rewarded,
and if as ive often read on ooc boards its so easy for some to get
that high within a short span of time, then obviously the problem is
in the difficulty of learning the skill and wont be solved by caps.

(in order to make this note belong here id like to say that ive liked
the way the game has grown both in areas and in the robustness of
things available for players to get into. skills, crafts, etc, that
i think the creators are doin a good job, and am glad i've stuff
around.

126: [Apr 05 2000] re 164 (Serafin)
thats s'posed to be stuck around not stuff around. *sigh*
s.f.t.s.

127: [Apr 05 2000] re:ambush (Talahaski)
The only problem i see with putting ambush back to
a higher effectiveness is that with the learning
challenege.
When a skill is lowered, it allows player
to build up to a much high skill level much easier
because the skill is less effective.
Now, if you then make the skill more effective
again, those players who build extremly high
levels of ambush when the skill was less effective
will now have a ambush skill that is much higher
than any other person could ever raise the skill too
under the "more effective" version.
I hope this makes sense, its kind of a hard topic to
explain. *shrug*

128: [Apr 05 2000] ambush (Cerote)
I'm with Asp, change it back for balance sake.

129: [Apr 05 2000] shall we... (Serafin)
move this discussion to another board?
i see what you are saying tala but i dont think it applies
becaause as i see it, it was more of a cap on damage than
lowering the effectiveness, so i dont think it made for
easier learning, but then again i wouldnt really know either
from the coder end or the learner end. for some reason i've
stopped learning anything :)

130: [Apr 06 2000] the genius is in the details (Dorche)
I'd just like to stop my immersion for one second to thank the creators for the world they've created here.
What graps my sense of awe firmly is how detailed everything is. I know that for any knowledge to be "discovered" here, it must first be imagined and realized in the mind of a creator. If not, its just a great idea with no basis to exist here. I was pleased that a certain observation of mine yielded new knowledge for me to use something already known in a new way that is effective and that is what makes me want to post. I racked my brains for this idea, and already a coder had been there, anticipating me, to make it possible.
My hat is off to you all, coders of Dartmud. Thank you for letting me wander about in your world here.
Dorche the gnome

131: [Apr 15 2000] Okay, so you haven't been slacking.. (Tomnoddy)

was wrong, and I'll be the first to admit it.

These new changes are amazing. Obviously you guys put a lot of work into

141: [May 27 2000] Re: Thanks. (Katkt)
I want to second Ghaleon's sentiment.
Active, ongoing creation is one of the thing that makes Dartmud
intersting and fun. The creators are here as their own recreation,
just as we players are, and I want to thank them all for their
time and effort. Things you do right attract much less notice
than things you do that people don't like.

Thanks for all the cool things. And thanks for trying on all the
things that I personally don't think are so cool.

156: [Sep 07 2000] On the fly (Dorche)
I was out collecting mist with others. We grumbled amongst ourselves that we could not see any response to collecting it, whether we did it at all, or whether it failed or not. This is old news to mist collectors. We continued after making some message triggers to let others in the room see the progress made. Immediately we noticed that 3 collections garnered 6 trigger messages. My first thought was...Veia... you really need to study the zmud manual more. But it soon became clear that someone had started feedback messages about collecting and implemented it before we could set up the first triggers. Wow! All i can gather is a creator must have been listening and between our grumbles and trying to set triggers, fixed it so we could see it. Insta-response! Now granted this is a small thing, but to have it done so quickly, and apparently on the fly, felt wonderful. Thank you for taking the time to make it right. -Dorche the gnome

even the ones who didn't do anything, they added a lot of
atmosphere to the event. (And after a month playing a mud where

That is QUICK! Go Ogma and his really fast reply! I dunno if anyone else was missing stuff though.

177: [Nov 11 2000] missing (Tragic)
lets see, i was missing a chest
bin
bin
food
60 sapphires this time..
all my armor..
gee, would you be nice and fix that too ogma?
dont matter, i just made 70 freakin suns
thanks

178: [Nov 12 2000] Ogma, Flandor, Raven (Talahaski)
First, I would like to thank everybody
who helped with the wedding especially
Ogma for making many of the custom
items used during the wedding. I'll
mention a few of these items, the Ring
Pillows, the Pair of Swans, Basket of
Doves, the Garden, and the Bridal Boquet.
I also owe Ogma and any other creators who
helped fix the problem of all the missing
chest, bins and wardrobes a big THANKS.
These containers held all our wedding supplies
and the wedding was only 2 hours away.
Talahaski

179: [Nov 12 2000] Tragic (Elyth)
Um somewhere you lost the point of this board Tragic. It's called
PRAISE for a reason. Half the objects on the whole mud didn't
load and you'sit there bitching about losing your precious stuff.
You never stopped to think that Ogma and whatever other creators
were on at the time have more reason to bitch than you do, hell
they had to figure out why shit didn't load, figure out how to fix
the problem, AND deal with a whole mud of bitchy, whiny players.
We should all be thankful that not only did they fix the problem,
they managed to do it without eviscerating anyone. Next time you
consider bitching creators out you might want to find out what's
going on first, otherwise you just look dumb. And you might also
consider that they're here because they WANT to be, because it's
fun for them to make a world for people to run around and do stuff
in, and when the people they're trying to entertain only bitch
and whine and act dumb in return, someone's going to get
eviscerated sooner or later.

180: [Nov 12 2000] Fireworks! (Bakuretsu)
Ogma, thanks for the fireworks!
They were really buggy, but then you gave us new ones to play with.
They wouldn't light since they were in storage, but then we trashed the defective ones and you gave us new ones.
^_^

-Bakuretsu Yamitenshi

181: [Nov 13 2000] Praise in General (Beren)
For what my opinions worth:)

I think the creators have really done a great job in general, adding new items, areas ect.

The level of creator work in the game seems to be at an unprecidented high.

thanks for the good work

182: [Nov 16 2000] Creators and Creator-Kin (Spiffy)
I want to say thanks to all the creators and their Kin over

Thanks Ogma

Ogma, your new description rocks!

-Bakuretsu Yamitenshi

185: [Nov 22 2000] New Who descriptions (Talahaski)
I think this was a great idea. It is
already apparent that more people are
getting these descriptions and using them
instead of remaining off the who.
I think this may have a extra advantage
with keeping newbie. Newbies like to
know that there are more than 2 people playing
at any time. And, athough the who does
give a estimate of the total players on,
it gives a better appearance when people are listed,
Talahaski

186: [Dec 06 2000] Too funny. (Tomnoddy)
Okay, saw something that had me laughing for a while, and kudos
to whichever creator added this.

Menolly says in common, 'One time, at band camp...'

Heh, I'm still laughing over this. These new packers are so much
more interesting than the old, quiet ones with screwy names.

187: [Dec 06 2000] Doff my Armor, etc. (Otto)
To whomever made it possible to don one's stuff and ready "my" weapons, well done!

188: [Dec 06 2000] Arming rack (Griffith)
Nice work, i like these better and i hear that certain
items like chains and shurikens also get stowed and readied
well done

189: [Dec 09 2000] Guilds (Hrothgar)

192: [Dec 14 2000] New braman equipment (Merkle)

I just wanted to say thanks to whichever creator coded up
the new ankle blades and other braman unique equipment.

Almost makes me want to start a second so I could take good
advantage of them. ;) Anyway, thanks a lot. I expect we
will see a lot of new braman fighters in the near future.

198: [Jan 07 2001] Great game, kudos! (Therador)
I've been playing this game off and on for quite a few years,
and I must say, it is a great game. I don't play muds that commonly,
but play a lot of graphic games.

I like this mud over any other I've played and consider this my
"home" as far as muds go.

I like the seriousness of death here. I like the fact that it is just
too much of a pain to die and should be avoided at any cost.
Again, kudos!

Therador the really big ogre

199: [Jan 13 2001] Ogma (Shzerinar)
For the obvious reasons, and for the not so obvious: thank you for your patience,
persistence, and creativity. I may not post often, and I have yet to explore the new
champions quest, but from the little I have seen and heard, it is a job well worth praise.
And thank you for fixing what needed to be fixed, and not me. Your projects are always
well thought out, and very fun. And I thank you for the priveledge of enjoying them.

I didn't seem to have anything.

Well, dang!

Well done!

209: [Mar 01 2001] Dartmud.com web site (Leareth)
Nice job to whomever is updating the site.
It's been long overdue.
Very nice write up on Omga on the site too.

210: [Mar 01 2001] Re: Website. (Khebemn)
While I too find the website useful, a quick use of
the finger command for the creators with 'write-ups'
reveals they're one and the same. Now we just need
Raven's fortune generator on the web site so the truly
bored among us don't finger him several hundred times
an hour. ;)

289: [May 03 2002] re : show skills (Aleia)
Thank you a lot Ogma :)
Wonderful!
I was checking the helpfiles yesterday (on the web) and nothing is written about that at the player/Show section or player/skills section or even in the magic section that's why I asked. sorry :)

290: [May 05 2002] Trashcans (Aleia)
Yeaah, the new trashcans are nice
(well I suppose that the way we should trash has been improved.. or maybe it is that I've never understood it before *grin*)

291: [May 27 2002] Moat at WinterHold. (Vex)
An incredible job on the new moat at WinterHold. My thanks to any involved in its creation.

292: [Jun 02 2002] post office (Aleia)
nice that the teller teels when some other PC have mail, it helps socializing and also the ones who often forget to check :)

293: [Jun 06 2002] Auto aura (Morten)
Whoever set up auto aura, thank you thank you thank you!
You're the man! Or woman ... let's just say you're the
sentient.
-Morten, a very happy magic user

294: [Jun 06 2002] Auto Aura (Rohan)
He about said it all but let me say it too, Huge Improvement!
It is amazing how much a change like this makes in your day.
This place just gets better and better thanks to the
hard working creators here.

295: [Jun 06 2002] a general thanks and praise (Yama)
Thanks for all of your time, and it is a great world

296: [Jun 15 2002] Small Thanks (Quwe)
This is a small note of thanks for allowing us

wish.
Thanks again!

to whomever stopped grashlin, thror, and other npc's from shouting when attacked, thank you.

298: [Jun 19 2002] name embroidery (Quwe)
Just like to say a thanks on this board,
even though I wrote it on the ideas board in
response to Ogma's swift action in making
name-embroidered packs distinguishable with
the "get" command.

299: [Jun 19 2002] General (Aleia)
I want to thank the creators for their work, they sure are active, and make things fast especially for the auto health and so on.. Really, you Rock!!

300: [Jun 20 2002] 3rd time the charm (Kakkt)
so I guess 300 is even better. Lately I have really come to appreciate all of the intracacy of the world, from detailed lighting falling between leaves in a tree to the sweet stench of dried blood and the such. Justs makes me onder what it would look like with ansi.
Your partially devoted player

301: [Jun 21 2002] Thanks! (Himlad)
Just wanted to say thanks for the swift help that I recieved with my password troubles
Thank you!

302: [Jul 15 2002] Combat (Mar)
Keep the combat tweaks comming!

303: [Jul 16 2002] Thanks (Kuroryu)
Ogma made a couple of awesome crafting additions and answered some Q's
Thanks
Kuroryu

304: [Jul 23 2002] Dangerous wilderness (Yama)
I like the change, I have to be alert for trips to Segliz now :)

305: [Jul 25 2002] Wilderness (Rohan)
I like to too, cept for the hatred of spyder's by cows.
Longhorn's are like the most common thing out there
and seem to have this utter hatred of spyders.
Kinda weird.
But regardless it definitely adds spice. Thanks guys!

306: [Aug 13 2002] Combat Coolness (Kakkt)
I didn't know anything had been changed untill I was jumped by a few wolves, and found that I had sliced right through a wolfs head. On the way back I put my shield in ym attacking hand unwittingly, and found myself nicking and bludgeoning longhorns, this is totally awesome
A game of adjectives just got a little more descriptive (we are gonna totally drive the players of standard muds nuts with this)
Once again, Incredibly Massively Megasuperultra neato.
The overly pleased player of kakkt

307: [Aug 22 2002] Because nobody else has said it yet (Morten)
I just wanted to say thanks for installing an automatic "look"
when we traverse the hexes. It makes things a lot easier, not to mention
logical - it's like before I didn't notice the bear until it swiped me...
now I can see it and keep running! :)
Good work. See? It's the simple things that just make the game so much
better.
-Morten

308: [Aug 22 2002] Just because... (Arizel)
I think for once I'm gonna praise players, although of course the creators
are the ones who made this an environment where players can really excel if
they want to. I never quite get over the fact that we have so few total
idiots who log on here and shout asking for 15 year old girls who like
pokemon. Sure some are better than others, but go anywhere else and you
find a lot higher percentage of dorks. The cumulative IQ on here must be a
lot higher than on some much bigger muds. :P

309: [Aug 22 2002] Re: Just because... (Raven)
Arizel wrote:
> we have so few total idiots

You wouldn't say that if you had to read the bug
reports and registration gripes.

310: [Aug 23 2002] Idiots (Arizel)
Just because we suck less than everywhere else doesn't mean we don't have
our own problems. :P

311: [Aug 23 2002] Travelled Hexes (Drun)
Well, I'm not a huge fan of the un-toggleable autolook hex feature, but I think the new
"how well the hex has been travelled" messages qualify as one of those simple things that
make the game much better. It's cool to see the paths people take to towns and their
castles. Keep it up.

-Drun

312: [Aug 23 2002] Re: Travelled Hexes (Raven)
Can always use brief.

313: [Aug 23 2002] Re: Travelled hexes. (Ciarna)
Brief is great, except that it no longer mentions important
things like rivers or cliffs.

314: [Oct 12 2002] New Server (Bromri)
Sweet!

315: [Oct 17 2002] Languages (Flyte)
Very nice new driver. Not sure if it was part of that, but I do like
the way languages work now, very nicely done :)

316: [Oct 26 2002] Prompt fixes (Morten)
I sent in a typo report, and to my surprise it had been fixed
within a day! Kudos to the creator who fixed it, and to all of you
for your vigilance. Keep it up!

318: [Nov 05 2002] Economy Tinkering (Rohan)
I posted a note halfway complaining about the
economy changes, but after reading that Raven
is simply tinkering and trying to fix it
I feel I should praise him as well.
It's one hell of a thing to take on and to
even see a creator trying gives me hope.
Thanks Raven

319: [Nov 28 2002] Dartmud (Quwe)
I have to say that this mud inspires me.
It has always been my dream to code a mud of my own
one day. I would like to say thanks to the coders
and the players. Knowing that there are people who
strive for a more in depth experience, is
encouraging.

320: [Nov 29 2002] feelings (Kakkt)
I have been gone for a few months, and I wake up one day feeling groggy! then I walk around a bit, and my joints begin to ache, I feel bored as I read the boards, and after some time I feel lonely and grumpy. After itching a bit I then look at an injured limb, and notice my exoskeleton is looking awfully dingy lately. I dunno where these came from, but I love the depth and whatnot you guys have supplied. Mega kudos.

321: [Jan 05 2003] Vampires (Anorou)
I would like to give my praise to whoever coded the vampires. It adds
probably the most fun I've ever had in a mud. There's nothing like
the feeling of fear you get when you run into one. :)

322: [Jan 06 2003] Thanx (Sui)
I would like to thank to the creator that is resp9onsable for this:

You almost die, but something saves you!
You are in perfect health.

It saved my life about 5 times now ...

Sui

323: [Jan 06 2003] Re: Thanx (Raven)

I'd love to know a detailed account of what you are
doing around the time you get that message. It was
a lame fix to stop people from dying from a bug for
which we knew the symptoms but not the cause.

Thanks,

R.

324: [Jan 09 2003] general praise (Kakkt)
I used to be a real dm addict, I'd go through withdrawl without my weekly dose. I could really find some annoying things to bitch about back then, but now that I rarely get the chance to play, its more like a great priveledge on every level and every aspect to get to play, and every time I log in, I just can't help but grin at the depth of helpfiles, or descriptions of a room, or the number of skills, or the intricate society. You still have to be nuts to spend so much time improving when you get more bitching then praising, but I tell you what, we must be nuts to do that when there is so much to praise, and so little to bitch about.
Player of kakkt (and I think still the youngest player)

325: [Jan 10 2003] Responses (Rohan)
I have been meaning to post a praise too. I feel like
I have pointed out things I thought should be
updated or changed lately and just havent
said thank you enough. I feel it's my job to point
out some of it. I've been here long enough that
this place feels like part of a home, and you
should take care of a place like that. But in
reality you guys do all the work and listen to
all the bitching, and no matter what anyone says
you actually seem to genuinely listen to complaints
and really try to make it a fun place for "everyone",
not just the old foggies. I really respect that.

Btw, I have always promised myself if I win the
Powerball and get millions I'd set this place
up for life. Just imagine...a Dartmud Company.
Maybe everyone will even get a Dartmud T-Shirt.
Nah...I won't be THAT nice.

Thanks Again Guys!

331: [Apr 25 2003] This is only game I play for any length of (Graender)
time
I've played many games, Mud, 2d and 3d, and this is the only one that can keep
my attention for any length of time. Most games I get bored with in 3 months.
Extrordinary games I can play for a year before I get sick of them.

This game I've played off and on for...a long time. This char itself is about
3 years old, and I had chars before that also.

There will be times where I won't play this game for months on end, but it always
draws me back when I get bored with the other ones I'm playing.

I just want to say kudos to the entire team, great job!

332: [May 30 2003] Herbalism (Morten)
Thank you for increasing the yield in the hexes. In this increasingly
populated world, increasing the available natural resources was a wise
move.

-Morten, the self-proclaimed unbelievable herbalist

333: [Jul 08 2003] Re: Graender (Loran)
I agree, DM is amazing for the evolving storyline and the creator support
Keep up the good work, guys!

334: [Jul 11 2003] Thanks (Wilco)
To the creators who added practice to the gather command. It is much appreciated.

-Wilco

335: [Jul 13 2003] Mining (Flax)
I just thought I'd say how impressed I am with the mining system here. It's not something I've seen before, and perhaps could be expanded in some respects, but it's a brilliant concept. I've thought this ever since I first did a little mining, but only just now thought to note it as being exceptionally good.

Zoise, overjoyed

339: [Aug 26 2003] University resizing. (Mahetabel)
I'd like to thank whoever made the crafting room available
to the larger folks.

340: [Aug 29 2003] Last night/this morning. (Mahetabel)
I'd like to thank the creators for working through the night
to get the mud open to players again. They could have easily
done the work over a few days, leaving us addicts with bad
cravings. ;)

341: [Aug 30 2003] Registration features (Hadubrand)
Thank you very much for the new player regisration features...just superb.

342: [Sep 01 2003] New Mining and Current Events (Beretil)
Just wanted to post a note saying the new mining system is great. I feel it
more closely mimics the real world to a very usable level. So whoever coded
that, great job! And please keep up the work!
And for more recent events I'd like to say that even though it sucks to have
Eristan gone and a handful of castles, the event really livened up the mud.
Maybe more random events in the future?
But hey, thanks for working yer asses off guys, I know I enjoy the end product.
Beretil

343: [Sep 01 2003] Mining (Yuli)
I also agree, the new new mining system (with fixed bugs) is much better
than the old system. The old old system was good, the old system sucked
and the new new system is even better. Nice work Yoru and others.

-- Yuli

344: [Sep 03 2003] NPC Changes (Jaraim)
I love the new changes to at least one well-known NPC, who now casts a
protective spell.

Does giving NPCs new spells mean we players might get some? Hmm? Hmm?

- Player of Jaraim

345: [Sep 05 2003] Apocalypse (Sulaman)
I feel I should say that I have been enjoying the changes that have
been wrought in Dartmud due to the apocalypse. It has been a nice
change of pace, and really stirred things up. I am looking forward
to the development of the post-apocalypse world.

346: [Sep 13 2003] Recent deletions (Amai)
I want to praise the creators for their new policy of investigation. Since it appears that all my ennemies were amongst the cheatyers sitebanned.
I had given up dartmud for 6 months since I couldn't immerge any more in a world that couldn't been played fairly. This recent events will I hope increse a lot the realism of the world!

351: [Sep 21 2003] recently (Leareth)
Just saying that the recent changes, including the events which created the crator,
have all been well appreciated. It's very noticable that a lot of work
has been done to make all these changes in a very short time.
I also like some of the new critters in the hexes.

354: [Nov 21 2003] Assassin (Danor)
That was crazy fun :)

355: [Nov 21 2003] New Site (Alsatia)
It amazes me how much you all care about the gameplay of Dartmud,
like this recent change of getting us a new site. No more
tedious lag, no more constant reboots, or crashes. It's not
like you had to do it. In fact, it's not like you all have to
do anything to make Dm life easier for all of us, but you do.
I know ya probably heard this a million times, but thanks
for giving a crap about us! I know of one reason why I keep
coming back to Dartmud..it's because we have an admin that
makes things happen. Instead of telling ya to keep up the
good work..why don't you all take a break for once. You
gals, and guys ;) deserve it!

Man I sound cheesy.

-Alsatia

356: [Nov 25 2003] Assassin (Lixen)
I agree, Assassin is quite fun. This was the first time
I experienced it and I found it quite enjoyable. I sure
wouldn't mind if it happened more often.

357: [Nov 25 2003] Assassin (Danor)

358: [Nov 27 2003] Rats (Danor)
I like these rats here in Sori.. they're smarter than their dumber cousins on the mainland

361: [Dec 08 2003] green gryphon inn? (Kefka)

however....it reminds me greatly of the city of karnak in its dimensions and directions

373: [Jul 20 2004] to the player of Urthan (Mormel)
I'd like to thank the player of Urthan for adding to the fun. I can imagine that ropelaying a somewhat "less-intelligent" ogre can be difficult sometimes, but you pull it off like it's nothing.
It really adds to the experience and makes it fun to hang out in Soriktos.
Thanks.

374: [Jul 28 2004] Green Rats! (Danor)
That raid was fun. Do I have to complain because I died? No.
I still think it was a lot of fun. I just wish the pelt glowed green too ;)

-Player of Danor, the incumbent combustible masochist

375: [Aug 13 2004] Recent Raid (Beretil)
I would like to thank the creators for the recent raid in Tent City. It was
the most fun Ive had in a long time. Sometimes it's nice to get a good battle
where having your amulet tossed to sea doesn't happen. So please keep up the
good work gents, and maybe another raid someday. It is easily worth using
up an amulet for the fun. Thanks!

Beretil the glorious happy battle guy

376: [Aug 14 2004] Re:raid (Borgir)
I agree totally! I wasn't there, but hell, I so wish I was. As Beretil says, it's nice to use your skills and tactics without ending the lives of other players sometimes. And also, it makes combat skills themselves have more worth, I find.
