How to register

Welcome to DartMUD, the Lands of Ferdarchi

For full membership privileges, you may use our automatic registration system.

First:

Also, before registering, please read 'help reg rules' for important information.

You may wish to explore the game as a tourist or an unregistered member before registering. Just log on to DartMUD and follow the instructions on the signs in Purgatory!

Choose Your Name:

Character names must be one word, less than 11 characters, and are recommended to conform to the medieval theme of the mud.

If you have not already done so, you must log in to DartMUD with your desired name before registering it, to be sure it is valid.

(If you are playing as an unregistered member, you must go to the Hall of Mortals, which is in the OOC area, before registering.)

In Purgatory (or the Hall of Mortals), type register and follow the instructions given.

In a short time, you should receive e-mail with a code for character generation. This is very important - write it down and keep it.

Note: The registration code is not the same as your regular password. However, you will need the registration code again, when your character dies.

If your e-mail address is not valid, you won't get anything back. See "having trouble," below.

Now that you have your registration code:

While in Purgatory, enter the glowing pool.
If you are playing as an unregistered member, you must go to the Hall of Mortals, which is in the OOC area, to upgrade to registered status.

If you are having trouble:

If you have forgotten your character name or registration code, you may retrieve them by e-mail. Log in to DartMUD and use the forgot command.
You may need to input the e-mail address to which the name is registered.
For other problems, while in Purgatory, type "gripe"
Follow the instructions to report the problem.
Be sure to include your e-mail address in your gripe.
