subtitle What not to do when you die Death Rules

***** NOTICE! *****

The following rules pertain to death:

You may not:

* Notify others of the death of your character through OOC means. This includes posting a notice with either a second or subsequent character.

* Use a second character to rescue your corpse/amulet.

* Use e-mail, ICQ, the telephone, voice communications, snail mail, smoke signals, or any other means not readily available in the game to either summon help to rescue your corpse/amulet or to tell people who or what killed you. * Tell people about who or what killed you if you die and re-register as a new character, even if you use "OOC". If you got pkilled, renaming is highly recommended.

* It is your responsibility to prevent your friends from using OOC information to rescue or avenge you.

* Notwithstanding the responsibility of the dead party to prevent the spread of OOC info, those persons spreading this info are equally culpable.

These rules are intended to promote roleplaying and fairness.

They are not intended to make the game un-fun.

Failure to comply with these rules, however, will make the game un-fun, because you may be subject to character destruction or imprisonment, permanent banishment from the game, or other penalties.

Furthermore, if you get pkilled, and you come back with the same name and/or the same general personality, don't whine if you get pkilled again. It's *your* fault at that point.

The "die" command is always an honorable option if you have no hope of rescue. Living well is the best revenge.
